Travis joined the Lone Star Furnishings team in April 2017. He has a BBA in Finance from the University of Mississippi. Travis has enjoyed the transition from a career in finance to educational furnishings sales. Please don’t attribute his impeccable manners to his time in the deep south. His roots are in Collin & Grayson counties, so he is right at home as he works with school districts in the northern sector of the DFW metroplex. Travis and his lovely wife recently welcomed a son into their family who can frequently be found ‘working’ alongside dad in his home office. When not working, Travis enjoys camping, fishing and spending time with his wife, friends, and his dogs, Loki & Milo.

Leslie joined the Lone Star Furnishings sales team in 2019. A Texas native, she holds degrees in Business (TCU) and Interior Design (Art Institute of Dallas). After starting in residential design, she found her passion directing interiors at an architecture firm specializing in education facilities. She then spent 10 years in educational furniture sales before joining Lone Star. Creating learning environments combines her love for kids and design. As the parent of a son with ADHD, she understands the challenges students can face in traditional classrooms and uses that passion when helping districts create their ideal learning environment. Leslie’s son is her pride and joy. When not at work, she enjoys cheering him on at his various sporting events.

Krista joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2021, bringing over 30 years of sales experience, including 11 in educational sales. She believes education is key to ending poverty and loves partnering with schools to create comfortable environments promoting collaboration, engagement, and participation. A proud 4th generation Texan, her family dates back to the Texas Republic (1838). Originally from Burkburnett, she holds a BS in Education from Midwestern State University. She and her husband (an avid marathon runner) have two children: an adult daughter in McKinney and a son attending vet school (Lincoln Memorial in Tennessee). She enjoys the benefits of empty nesting, though her home still includes a cat and a Rottweiler.

Adam joined the Lone Star Furnishings team in September 2024. He holds a BS in Kinesiology from UT Arlington and is currently pursuing his MBA at Lamar University. Adam has found the shift from serving as Executive Pastor and Head of School at a private school to working with educators rewarding. He has been happily married to his high school sweetheart for 27 years with whom he has 3 children. Outside of work, Adam enjoys golfing, fishing, racing RC cars, and spending quality time with his wife, kids, and friends.

Brooks joined Lone Star Furnishings as part of our Houston market expansion in January 2022. After graduating from Furman University with a BA in Education, Brooks moved to Houston, TX to begin his career as a high school teacher. With an elementary school principal and a university administrator as parents, the importance of education is practically in his DNA! He is passionate about education and excited about continuing to direct his interest & skills towards collaborating with school districts in the greater Houston area. Brooks and his wife of 5 years have 2 daughters and a son. When not at work, he loves all sports, playing golf, and relaxing at the lake.

Jamie joined the Lone Star Furnishings sales team as part of our Houston market expansion in January 2022. A proud native Texan, Jamie graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s in Media and Communication. Her deep desire to serve others and build professional relationships directly aligns with Lone Star Furnishings core values. She is married to her college sweetheart and has a 5-year-old silver Labrador Retriever. In her spare time, she loves being outside, especially enjoying the Texas coast with friends and family.

Arden joined the Lone Star Furnishings team in 2025, bringing over six years of experience in the K–12 furniture industry. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University and a Master of Arts in Interior Design from Harrington College of Design. Prior to joining Lone Star, Arden served as a Senior Account Manager for an educational furniture dealer, where her passion for people and the built environment shaped her approach to every project. Arden loves working closely with school districts to design healthy, sustainable environments that support meaningful learning. In her spare time, Arden can be found playing tennis, volunteering or spending time with her family and friends.

Brandon joined the Lone Star Furnishings team in 2025, bringing a wealth of experience from the educational furniture industry. Originally from Michigan, he earned his BBA in Marketing and Management from Grand Valley State University and later an MBA in Organizational Leadership from Baker College. Brandon has a proven track record in sales leadership and founded SAFFE Furniture, focusing on delivering simple, affordable, and fast solutions specifically for the K-12 market. His deep understanding of furniture solutions and commitment to building strong, trust-based partnerships align perfectly with Lone Star’s values. Brandon is passionate about collaborating with school districts to enhance learning environments through functional and innovative furniture design.

Autumn Mankin joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2025 as the Educational Furniture Consultant for the West Texas region. A proud graduate of Texas Tech University, she brings a wealth of experience centered on serving educational and athletic communities. Her previous roles, including her work with schools for BSN SPORTS and as a Unified Schools Specialist for Special Olympics Texas, have given her invaluable insight into the specific needs of students, educators, and administrators. This background fuels her passion for building strong client relationships and developing functional, engaging learning environments where every student can thrive. A West Texas native, Autumn enjoys spending her free time with family and friends and proudly cheering on the Red Raiders.

Javier joined Lone Star Furnishings in January 2009. In his role as Estimator – Contract Sales he is a liaison to General Contractors and specifies science labs, auditoriums, bleachers, stadiums, and libraries. Javier has worked in education sales since 2001 and outside sales since 1991. Javier’s wife of 28 years is Velma, a retired Librarian. They have 2 adult children. His “Bucket List” includes visiting all 50 states with Velma before he retires.

Melissa joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2022. Raised in Oklahoma, she graduated with a degree in Secondary Education from Oklahoma State and got to Texas as quickly as possible! After beginning her teaching career with Cypress Fairbanks ISD in Houston, she moved to the Dallas Metroplex to get a little closer to home. She earned her master's degree in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas and finished her 30-year career in K-12 public education as the Chief Technology Officer in Frisco ISD. Her passion for creating agile, engaging student learning environments began years ago when transitioning wired computer labs and traditional libraries into future ready learning spaces. Melissa and her husband spend much of their family time with their two daughters on the volleyball court as their biggest fans!
