This Lancaster High School CTE program is about more than teaching kids how to cook. Nutrition is important to Chef D., who is proud to have introduced a healthier and more varied diet to the students in her classes. Students leave the program with real serving experience and professional certifications to turn their new skills into successful careers upon graduation.

Competitive Opportunities – Gilmer HS, Gilmer ISD

Gilmer High School provides students with urban opportunities in a small school setting.

The new facility made it possible for the district to amplify their focus on academics and extracurriculars. GHS offers classes in Health Science, Horticultural & Plant Science, Vet Tech, and Culinary Arts. The district is pleased to report that the expanded CTE offering has contributed to increased student enrollment during this first school year. School pride is displayed in the spacious dining commons and Buckeye Cafe. Key contributors to furniture selection included flexibility, value, quality, and durability well into the future.
