Brad is CEO and founder of Lone Star Furnishings. After twenty years of successful educational furniture sales experience working for large nationally focused companies, he opened the doors of Lone Star Furnishings, LLC in 2008. His goal was to focus on customers, applying the virtues he learned growing up in a small Texas town: integrity, humility and hard work. These are the virtues that guide the culture of Lone Star Furnishings, our interactions with customers and co-workers. Along with a focus on building client relationships, it is important to Brad that the company gives back to the community. Lone Star Furnishings is pleased to support various Christian ministries and other charities.
In addition to his responsibilities at Lone Star Furnishings, Brad is on the council of the Education Market Association and is a board member of two non-profit corporations. He is involved in various philanthropic enterprises and likes most any outdoor activity. Brad earned a BBA in Finance from Texas Tech and enjoys supporting his alma mater.

Ben Herrick, originally from West Michigan, has played a vital role in Lone Star Furnishings’ success since he joined the sales team in 2017. From 1999 through 2010, Ben was learning the intricacies of furniture manufacturing in West Michigan. Ben managed an independent furniture supply company, and by 2011 he began making a name for himself working as a regional manager for a company that manufactured educational furnishings, putting his bachelor's degree in Business Administration to quick use. Ben and his beautiful wife, Sarah, are the loving parents of 4 very active sons. Between hockey tournaments, BMX bicycle races, and anything outdoors, they enjoy spending time together as a family.

Rhonda, our VP of Sales, joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2014. An Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP), Rhonda is passionate about how learning environments and the furniture therein can impact a student’s desire and ability to function effectively in the classroom. She knows from personal experience as a “fidgety student” and parent of a highly intelligent, but focus-challenged child exactly how the resources we give our teachers and students can affect life-long success. Rhonda has an MBA in Business Management and has held multiple sales and sales management positions during her professional career.

Diana joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2017 as Business Manager. She is a Dallas native and attended Highland Park High School before heading off to The University of Oklahoma. Diana lived in Los Angeles for close to two decades working in the wholesale apparel industry. As a former sales professional and independent business owner, she applies her experience to the very important job of overseeing operations at Lone Star. She and her husband of twenty years are very busy raising their three children. On most weekends she can be found on a soccer or lacrosse field cheering on her kids.

Krista joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2021. She has been in sales for more than 30 years, 11 of which include educational sales. She believes that the key to ending poverty is education and loves making an impact by partnering with schools to create a comfortable environment that promotes collaboration, engagement, and participation. This proud 4th generation Texan can boast that her family has been here since Texas was a Republic (first recorded family Texas birth was 1838). Originally from Burkburnett, Krista graduated from Midwestern State University with a BS in Education. She and her husband, an avid marathon runner, have two children, an adult daughter married and living in Houston and a son at Texas A&M. She’s pleasantly surprised by the benefits of empty nesting but recognizes that the nest is not that empty when you have two cats and a long-haired Bassett Hound.

Coordinator: Kelley Boyter
Kelly joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2013 as a Sales Representative for the Greater Fort Worth area. Previously she worked in public education as both a teacher and administrator and holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. Kelly is passionate about creating lasting relationships with customers and being their go-to when a need arises. Her experience as an educator has given her a unique skill set when it comes to identifying furniture solutions that meet the instructional needs of the space. Kelly lives in Fort Worth with her husband Jeff, two kids Natalie and Grayson and two bonus boys, Talan and Grant. She can be found cheering on the Horned Frogs and Aledo Bearcats!
Melissa joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2022. Raised in Oklahoma, she graduated with a degree in Secondary Education from Oklahoma State and got to Texas as quickly as possible! After beginning her teaching career with Cypress Fairbanks ISD in Houston, she moved to the Dallas Metroplex to get a little closer to home. She earned her master's degree in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas and finished her 30-year career in K-12 public education as the Chief Technology Officer in Frisco ISD. Her passion for creating agile, engaging student learning environments began years ago when transitioning wired computer labs and traditional libraries into future ready learning spaces. Melissa and her husband spend much of their family time with their two daughters on the volleyball court as their biggest fans!

Coordinator Sara Ponton
Leslie joined the Lone Star Furnishings sales team in 2019. A Texas native, she earned a BBA from TCU and a degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Dallas. She started her career as a designer in high-end residential design but found her passion during the 3 years she served as Director of Interiors for an architecture firm specializing in education facilities. She branched out and spent 10 years in educational furniture sales before joining Lone Star Furnishings. Creating learning environments combines her love for both kids and design. As the parent of a son with ADHD, she understands the challenges that students can face in traditional classrooms. Leslie uses that knowledge and passion when helping districts create their ideal learning environment. Leslie’s son is her pride and joy. He keeps her on her toes! When not at work, she enjoys cheering him on during his various sporting events.

Jamie joined the Lone Star Furnishings sales team as part of our Houston market expansion in January 2022. A proud native Texan, Jamie graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s in Media and Communication. Her deep desire to serve others and build professional relationships directly aligns with Lone Star Furnishings core values. She is married to her college sweetheart and has a 5-year-old silver Labrador Retriever. In her spare time, she loves being outside, especially enjoying the Texas coast with friends and family.

Tiffany joined Lone Star Furnishings in January 2018. She is an experienced sales leader in the commercial furniture industry where she focused on commercial, higher ed, government and healthcare markets in West Texas. Committed to developing meaningful relationships with her customers, she takes a holistic approach to understanding their needs when working to build solutions. Tiffany earned a BBA in Organizational Management from Lubbock Christian University. She is an avid supporter of education and has served in local PTA leadership roles for over 15 years. Tiffany's husband is a banker in Lubbock and they are the proud parents of four wonderful kids.

Travis joined the Lone Star Furnishings team in April 2017. He has a BBA in Finance from the University of Mississippi. Travis has enjoyed the transition from a career in finance to educational furnishings sales. Please don’t attribute his impeccable manners to his time in the deep south. His roots are in Collin & Grayson counties, so he is right at home as he works with school districts in the northern sector of the DFW metroplex. Travis enjoys camping, fishing and spending time with his wife, friends, and his dogs, Loki & Milo.

Brooks joined Lone Star Furnishings as part of our Houston market expansion in January 2022. After graduating from Furman University with a BA in Education, Brooks moved to Houston, TX to begin his career as a high school teacher. With an elementary school principal and a university administrator as parents, the importance of education is practically in his DNA! He is passionate about education and excited about continuing to direct his interest & skills towards collaborating with school districts in the greater Houston area. Brooks and his wife of 5 years have 2 amazing daughters. When not at work, he loves all sports, playing golf, and relaxing at the lake.

Javier joined Lone Star Furnishings in January 2009. In his role as Estimator - Contract Sales he is a liaison to General Contractors and specifies science labs, auditoriums, bleachers, stadiums, and libraries. Javier has worked in education sales since 2001 and outside sales since 1991. Javier's wife of 28 years is Velma, a retired Librarian. They have 2 adult children. His "Bucket List" includes visiting all 50 states with Velma before he retires.

Kelley is our Senior Sales Coordinator. She joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2010 as a Sales Coordinator. Kelley started her career in the commercial furniture industry working as a Sales Coordinator and Project Manager. Kelley’s exceptional time management and organizational skills coupled with her ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, allows her to successfully complete many turnkey projects each year. She loves her Dr. Pepper and Dallas Cowboys and is devoted to her family which includes her husband, son and very active, playful dogs.

Michael joined Lone Star Furnishings in April 2012. He has coordinated projects throughout Dallas-Fort Worth and west Texas. Prior to joining Lone Star, Michael spent five years as an inside sales representative with a markerboard manufacturer. His experience contributes to his broad understanding of our customers and our sales team's needs. Michael is always smiling, but he wore his widest smile when his favorite Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl. Michael resides in Carrollton with his wife and two children. When not on a Lacrosse or Soccer Field, they enjoy family game night, road trips, and beach vacations.

Gigi joined Lone Star Furnishings in January 2022 as a Sales Coordinator. She is a Texas native who received her degree in Business Administration from Whittier College in Southern California. Prior to joining Lone Star, she worked in the residential furniture industry for over 15 years. Gigi enjoys traveling, outdoor activities and spending time with family, friends, and her dogs, Gino and Lily.

Yvonne joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2019. With over twenty years’ experience in the retail design/manufacturing industry, her extensive customer service and project management skills are a welcome addition to our team. A Canadian by birth, Yvonne has spent the last 28 years in the Dallas area with her husband, raising their two daughters and spending her free time serving on PTA, orchestra and theatre booster club boards. With her future music-educators now in college, Yvonne enjoys attending the symphony, and has plans to get started on that elusive novel…someday.

Brandy Hunn joined Lone Star Furnishings as a Sales Coordinator in November 2021. Her passion for children and their educational development led her to earn a degree in Development and Education with an emphasis in Administration from UNT. She spent the last eleven years working in customer service, policy benefits, claims and accounting for a major provider in the insurance sector. She loves creating lasting relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. Brandy enjoys spending time with her husband, Collin, including attending and/or watching Baylor football games. But what she loves most is playing outside and bedtime cuddles with their two toddlers, Ava and Claire.

Gina joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2019 as a Sales Coordinator. She is extremely focused on customer needs and her keen attention to detail is an invaluable asset as she manages high value projects. She is the proud mother of a U.S. Marine and grandmother to 5 beautiful, intelligent, rowdy, hilarious little people. Her truest passion is fund raising for the North Texas Chapter of Walk Now for Autism Speaks in honor of her middle grandson who is autistic. She claims to be the biggest fan ever of the Dallas Cowboys (Jason Witten in particular!) and the Texas Longhorns (Hook ‘Em!)

Karin joined Lone Star Furnishings in January of 2022 as a Sales Coordinator. Since earning a BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University, she has held various process-related roles in sales and sales operations. Her favorite thing to do is helping people. She and fellow Aggie husband are long-time Frisco residents who stay busy with a teenager daughter. Xena, their rescue German Shepherd/Lab mix is a constant source of entertainment for the family (and neighbors, and delivery people!) Karin volunteers with Girl Scouts, National Charity League, and loves being a ‘Band Mom’. She also enjoys hanging out with friends and family, cooking, photography, and vacationing at the beach or mountains.

Sara joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2018. She is a furniture industry professional with over 15 years’ experience working for an A&D firm, multiple furniture dealers, a case goods manufacturer, and an independent furniture rep group. Her experience includes sales, marketing, bid preparation, and sales support. Sara’s motto is “Integrity, organization, a positive attitude, and a sense of humor are key to accomplishing anything.” She is a Dallas native and Texas A&M University graduate. Her husband, 2 grandsons, a dog, and 2 cats keep her busy. Sara enjoys movies and sports (particularly the Aggies and Cowboys). She and her friends gather for Supper Club to share home-made dishes based on a pre-determined theme like cuisines from around the world.

Rebecca is our CAD designer and has worked in the school furniture and equipment business since 1998 after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin. With an education in AutoCAD, ADA requirements, space planning guidelines, and interior design, Rebecca is involved with planning, estimating, design, and installation of many projects as well as contract administration. In her free time, she enjoys trips to the dog park, playing in a dart league, and exploring her artistic side creating mixed media mosaics and painting.

Kristopher joined Lone Star Furnishings in January 2022 as a Marketing and Sales Operations Coordinator. He is a Texas native who received his degree in Communications from the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to joining Lone Star, he worked at Kansas State University as a marketing specialist. Kristopher enjoys listening to music, traveling, playing video games and spending time with his friends and family.

Jo Lynn joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2016. Her many years of working in contracts administration, executive compensation, and purchasing make her an invaluable asset to our business office and resource for our Sales Coordinators. Her primary responsibilities include processing customer billings, handling collections, and reviewing vendor invoices, but Jo Lynn is the first to offer a helping hand or take care of thankless tasks around the office. She is a gem! When not taking care of her fellow LSF team members, Jo Lynn enjoys spending time with her husband, two adult children, and three dogs.
Jeremiah joined Lone Star Furnishings in 2022. He is a seasoned warehouse management professional but will also works outside the warehouse facilitating field service requests. Beyond his duties at Lone Star, he is a talented woodworker. He has been making custom furniture since he was in elementary school. He is the father of three kids in grade school and loves taking them on nature adventures. As a parent, he values Lone Star’s work with school districts and the focus on serving students. Jeremiah can also be found leading worship at several churches in the DFW area.
